Authentic accounts reveal that the Prophet ﷺ often recited this chapter during Eid prayers. A woman named Umm Hisham bin Harithah, a neighbour of the Prophet ﷺ, recalled memorising Surah Qaf because she frequently heard it in his Friday sermons. Some reports suggest he also recited it during the dawn prayer. This indicates its significance to the Prophet ﷺ, as he ensured its message reached as many people as possible. The importance of this chapter becomes evident upon careful examination. It revolves around the concept of the Hereafter, a topic that initially surprised and bewildered the people of Makkah when the Prophet ﷺ began preaching. They found it hard to believe in resurrection after death and being held accountable for their deeds. In response, this discourse was revealed, presenting arguments for the possibility of the Hereafter and warning the disbelievers. It emphasises that God, who knows the whereabouts of every particle of their bodies, can easily resurrect them. Despite their scepticism, they will eventually witness the truth when they emerge from their graves on the Day of Judgment. At that moment, they'll realise the consequences of their disbelief, facing either Hell or Paradise based on their actions.
