In the Quran, it is mentioned that there is light that we cannot see. Modern science has confirmed the existence of a vast spectrum of light that is invisible to us.
The electromagnetic spectrum includes a variety of types of radiation, only a small portion of which is visible to the human eye. The visible light is just a tiny fraction of the entire spectrum, which includes: 1. Gamma rays 2. X-rays 3. Ultraviolet light 4. Visible light 5. Infrared radiation 6. Terahertz radiation 7. Microwaves 8. Radio waves This classification is based on the wavelength of radiation, and much of the electromagnetic spectrum is indeed invisible to us: The Quran mentions both visible and invisible light. In Quran 69:38-39, God swears by both what we can see and what we cannot see, which aligns with the scientific understanding of the invisible spectrum of light:
Now, I do swear by whatever you see,69:38
and whatever you cannot see!69:39
This verse acknowledges that there is light beyond our ability to perceive with our eyes, which we now understand to be part of the electromagnetic spectrum that includes infrared, ultraviolet, X-rays, and more . Conclusioan's reference to light that cannot be seen was a concept unknown to people 1,400 years ago, yet it perfectly matches what we now know scientifically. Most of the electromagnetic spectrum is invisible to the naked eye, but it is an essential part of our universe. This clearly showcases how the guidance mentioned in the Quran is very much scientifically possible.
