In the Quran, the wind is described as having a role in bringing rain. Skeptics once claimed that whoever wrote the Quran was mistaken because the wind is primarily involved in plant pollination, not in the process of rain. However, modern scientists confirm that the wind plays a significant role in causing rain.
Cloud seeding is a method of weather modification where substances like silver iodide or salts are dispersed into clouds to trigger precipitation. In nature, the wind carries sea salt and dust particles into the clouds, which help water droplets come together and form rain. This is similar to what is done in cloud seeding.
The wind helps with cloud formation by carrying tiny particles into the air, such as sea salt from the ocean and dust from the land. These particles help the water in clouds to combine, leading to rain. Wind from the sea plays a major role in carrying these particles into the clouds. This phenomenon was not understood until recently.
We send fertilizing winds, and bring down rain from the sky for you to drink. It is not you who hold its reserves.15:22
This verse was once thought to only refer to pollination, but today we understand it describes the wind’s role in cloud seeding. Modern science now explains that the wind helps create rain by carrying particles into the clouds, a process that happens naturally and is used in cloud seeding technology.
