In modern times, astronomers have discovered that planets can escape their stars' gravitational pull and roam freely in space, becoming "rogue planets." This phenomenon was unknown 1400 years ago but is remarkably reflected in the Quran.
- How Do Planets Become Rogue? Some planets are ejected from their star systems due to powerful events like supernova explosions. These "free-floating" planets wander through the galaxy instead of orbiting a specific star. According to astronomers, there could be more rogue planets in the galaxy than those bound to starsrom Research: - Dimitri Veras from the University of Cambridge stated that when massive stars die, their gravity can eject planets into interstellar space. - Observational data suggest that rogue planets are a significant population in the Milky Way, though their exact numbers remain unknown .

The word Intatharat (انْتَثَرَتْ) in Arabic means "scattered" or "dispersed." This description aligns with the modern concept of rogue planets, which are no longer gravitationally bound to their parent stars and freely traverse space.
The description of scattered planets in the Quran predates scientific discovery by centuries. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, who was unlettered, could not have known about this phenomenon through human means. This alignment between the Quranic verse and recent scientific findings is evidence of divine knowledge in the Quran.
